Spring-Summer 2022 Issue 103

It's been a long, busy few months, preparing the magazine for publication, but finally it’s here!

And I certainly hope you have picked up your copy and are enjoying it as much as we did bringing it all together. So welcome to the 103 Spring & Summer 2022 Edition.

It's always a difficult job to interpret what our readers want to see and what they need to see, is there a difference? Oh yes very much so, and I hope I have achieved the desired balance.

How many of us love to look around other people’s homes and gardens, gathering ideas along the way? Not many of us have large houses with vast outdoor spaces anymore, more's the pity. However, it doesn’t stop us looking and admiring their achievements, and most importantly taking note of the eye-catching designs that can be adapted to our own living space.

The pandemic has taught us lessons and given new meaning to many things. High on the list must be the appreciation for the space we call home and how we live in it.

Functional living spaces with a touch of class is certainly what we look at throughout this edition, and as I read about the penthouse makeover by designer Kenneth Tanti and his team, I can’t help but feel that it’s achievable.

Your kitchen is a massive investment so it’s important to get it right. The design and functionality that Carmelo Delia has brought to the kitchen in this property, is truly amazing and really needs to be seen to appreciate the quality and workmanship that can very often be missing.

Of course, I have noticed the things I need in my house which need an upgrade. I have to say I love this classic design, but what really caught my attention was the mirror effect wall in the bedroom. What a clever idea to bounce natural light from the window round the room! It may be the light solution I’m looking for in my spare room. I guess that’s where you will find me for the next hour planning which wall would be the best choice!

I hope you are enjoying this edition. Don’t forget to follow us on social media and let us know your thoughts.

Have a good week and happy reading,

Sue Arnett
