The principal wines of the Langhe
The Elvio Cogno Winery produces the principal wines of the Langhe. The winery owns about fifteen hectares of vineyard property in Novello, one of eleven townships in the province of Cuneo in which Barolo DOCG production is allowed. The hills are world-renowned for their history, culture, and beauty, and they were recently recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage. In the footsteps of its founder Elvio Cogno, today Nadia Cogno and Valter Fissore direct the winery with four generations of winemakers and vine growers, dedicated to obtaining excellence that begins with the unique terroir to create wines that are famous throughout the world for their elegance, texture, and balance. Danish artist and architect
In his paintings Rune Bo Jakobsen (B. 1975) expresses the colours hidden within the shadows, and portrays the emotions embedded within a space. Through sculptures he addresses societal and environmental issues. In his architecture the creation and improvement of public spaces and well-being of our surroundings is fundamental. Over the past decade Jakobsen has held a dozen solo exhibitions and his paintings and sculptures have found homes throughout Europe, Japan, USA and Australia. His upcoming and fourth Public Landmark Sculpture, the Bronze ‘Embryonic Horse’ is soon to be inaugurated in Floriana. Rune Bo Jakobsen’s Art Studio & Gallery in Birkirkara is open to visitors. Commissioned artworks for corporate and private clients are welcome.
