Summer 2018 Issue 95
The focus this season is on creative interiors and the use of traditional methods together with a very good look taken at houses of character and modern living. We are also very happy to introduce two new contributors to the magazine who will be featuring articles on architecture and design.
We see the return of Patrick Delia, who writes a wonderful article on the beautiful porcelain collection found at Gio. Batta Delia, featured on page 12. Andrew Agius Delicata writes about how he always ensures that his architectural projects are filled with care, strength and dedication, to be found on page 54. Having a good chat with two young and promising architects, Victoria Galea meets up with Matthew and Lucienne Cachia Caruana – featured on page 24. Rachel Balzan Demajo writes about her exciting project situated in the uber cool southern part of Strait Street on page 78. There’s a clever mix of classic and contemporary in a stylish compact home on page 38 by Andrea Christians. Kenneth Tanti writes about the gutting of a wide, open-spaced property with high ceilings on page 66, as well as living the life outdoors and how this can be a continuation of interior spaces – on page 92. Sailing to bite-sized bits of the world, an exciting article on a world cruise written by Jim Dunn is to be found on page 100.
Also featured on page 74 are the top five design trends for spring/summer put together by Justine Bartolo. However, the writers mentioned are but the tip of the iceberg when it comes to putting together the exciting prose and interesting cameos in every issue of Design & Decor. I truly hope that you will all enjoy leafing through this issue.
We wish you all a great summer.
Happy reading.
