The latest introductions by Form, homemakers since 1947
What makes Form so different from others is the choice it provides in terms of style, standard and innovation. Last year Form launched a collection of mid-century and other classics from Theodore Alexander and housed them in a purpose-built Pavilion, fully accessorized with carpets, lamps and a selection of Art Deco’ bronzes.
The latest addition at Form is The Bed Boutique, a concept store designed to embrace the wide range of beds, mattresses and pillows that are now available.
Form has always been associated with bedding products and for many years was better known for its Dunlopillo mattresses and pillows. Today the bedding collection at The Bed Boutique houses a collection that includes a range of pocket spring mattresses, first introduced in the year 2000. The current range includes hybrid models called Celestial and Moonlight. Celestial has 2 extra comfort layers over the popular Saraband interior to provide a sink in but well supported sleep, whilst Moonlight comes with a latex layer to provide better body alignment and contouring.
The Dunlopillo range at The Bed Boutique remains the main mattress type and features natural latex as its core. For those after a more profound sleep, the Dunlopillo range also includes latex core upgrade options featured in KOOL, comprising a special open cell comfort layer that is able to disperse heat generated by the body and provides a more refreshing sleep.
In line with the rising demand for natural fillings in bedding, The Bed Boutique has also just launched a new line, the Sueno Artesano collection by Dunlopillo comprising three fine hand-crafted mattresses. Hermitage, the top of the line is a 32 cm high mattress made to the highest specifications with top quality natural fillings on either side that include cashmere, linen, cotton, merino wool, silk, camel wool and a latex layer over two different pocket spring units. These are definitely mattresses to try. The Sueno Artesano collection includes beds and headboards and is now on display at Form.
This year Form also launched a collection of fine modern abstract paintings by a co-operative of foreign artists. Each framed painting is certified and sizes vary from 80 x 80 to 150 x 120 cm. These fine paintings sit well in contemporary settings and have been well received. New collections arrive on a regular basis along with other art collections.
Other new comers include the Zuiver and Dutchbone brands. Described as retro, young and fun to live with, the Dutchbone collection is a mix of styles from the late fifties and sixties adapted to today’s tastes in terms of colour, size and are exceptionally well priced. The collection includes sofas, armchairs, tables and chairs, sideboards, shelving, lighting and rugs. They are also available online via Form’s website form.com.mt.
The Zuiver range relates to the Scandinavian look and lifestyle, still ever so popular. The furniture collection is wide and stylistically distinctive: the wooden furniture is also blonde in colour as are most Scandinavians.
Form has also just launched the latest Natuzzi Italia collection featuring the most recent in motion mechanisms that enable users to achieve ever higher levels of comfort than hitherto. In addition to new fabulous sofa designs, the collection also features new and innovative stitching and quilting.
Natuzzi Italia, apart from having its own in-house design studio also collaborates with top international designers such as Lipparini, Marcel Vanders and others whose input is not restricted to sofa design but to the whole furniture and accessories range that today includes beds, bedroom cabinets, dining room furniture, lighting, accent pieces, rugs, ceramic and glass artefacts all available under one roof and combining beautifully with each other.
Finally, other additions include the latest kitchens from Euromobil that are a designers dream as well as a range of fabulous living, dining and bedroom room furniture from Zalf, Jesse and top quality Italian brands Rimadesio, Bonaldo and Sovet which all contribute to a veritable new look for Form for 2019.
